Today, the online Marketplace is setting a new trend. Everyone wants to have their product instantly after making the payment.

ECommerce Marketplace has multiple sellers which cater to the need of customers and the products get delivered in a short span of time.

Jumia Marketplace is one of the most popular Online Marketplace in Nigeria. It offers all types of commodities with varieties, deals.

They have beautifully integrated all the features under one roof so that their customer can have a hassle-free shopping experience.

In this blog, we will read how you can develop the functionality of Jumia Marketplace using Webkul Modules.

Opening your shop on Jumia is very easy and less time-consuming. You can see a link ” Join Us”. The user will select the Gender, enter the User Name, Email id, and Password.

They can even log in via Facebook or Google. On the home page, you can see an attractive slider with the product name and its cost. On your left, you can see the lists of services offered by the Jumia Marketplace.

Under the slider, you can see the top and new categories like “Black Friday”, “Women’s Tops”, etc. On the sides we can see posters of Black Friday, promoting the sales for those specific days.

The next section is “Promoted Products” where you can see products with updated prices and seller information. There is an arrow for checking more products under “Promoted Products”.

Then comes, “Jumia Market Featured Sellers”, where you can see the featured seller name, their ratings, and products added by them.

 On clicking on the seller, a new page opens up where you can see the products added by the seller.

After the “Jumia Market Featured Sellers” section, you can find “Deals of the day”. Here, you can see the products on which deals are applied. You can see the product name, image, deal for that product, and seller information.

At the footer, you can see a description of the Jumia Marketplace and content on “How to Buy” and “How to Sell” for a better understanding of the Jumia Marketplace.

Webkul’s Magento2 Marketplace module also provides a ravishing Landing page having searched bar which allows its user to search products on the Marketplace and various categories and their sub-categories are displayed on the header.

Then you can see a banner with a Sign-Up form and some content on the banner.

The admin can set the Banner content from the admin panel and can hide or display the signup form on the Banner. The admin can also change the position of the Sign-Up form ( Left or Right) from the admin panel.

The admin can change the layout of the seller login page ( from the three available layouts) as per the requirement and can change the layout for the page.

The admin can create a Seller Central where sellers can separately register themselves as sellers. From here the buyers of the marketplace who have already registered themselves as buyers can also register themselves as a seller.

Once you log in as a seller in Jumia Marketplace, you can see a dashboard with menus on your left. You can see your followers, unread messages, “My Purchases”, “My Sales”, “My Products”. In “My Purchases”, the seller can see their “Pending Purchases” and “Purchase History”.

In “My Sales”, they can see Orders numbers that are waiting for the shipment to the customers, the number of orders shipped, Pending & Replacement Orders, and Total Sales History.

In “My Products”, the seller can see the total number of “Active or Live” products, the number of products waiting to be live or active, the Number of canceled products, and a button called “SELL NOW”.

There is a “Your Facebook Shop” button by which the “Shop” app would ask permission from you to manage your Facebook pages, and then your Facebook Store would be opened in association with Jumia Marketplace.

Setting Section-

Here, the seller can do the setting for the Address Book, My Account Settings, Notification Settings, Payment Settings.

In the “Address Book”, the seller will enter the new address and can make it as Default Billing Address, Default Shipping Address, and Default Selling Address.

Here, the seller can edit Personal Information and Password as per their need.

Notification Settings –

Here, the seller can tick the checkbox for receiving the Newsletter. The seller can also get the notification for – Out Of Stock Notification, Product Wishlisted Without Stock Notification, Product Without Stock Removed Notification, Questions & answer from buyer and sellers, Receive SMS from Jumia.

Payment Settings –

Here, the users will enter their Bank Details. On your left, there is Buyer Bank Account, where the buyer can enter their Bank Details and on your right, there is Seller Bank Account, where the seller will enter their Bank Account Details for the payment.

In the Webkul Magento2 Marketplace, the seller can see their products in “My Product List”. The seller can edit or delete their products and can see the quantity of that product sold, earned amount from that product, and pending quantity, the status of that product, type of the product, etc.

Manage Sales & Orders-

In Webkul Magento2 Marketplace, the seller can see the order status, the name of the customer, product name, quantity, price. There is a filter box for sorting purposes. The seller can download the invoice and shipping slips for multiple orders.

The seller can see their total income, pending amount, and paid amount. There is a graph which depicts their total income. The seller can see their income- monthly, weekly, and day. The seller can see their latest order and latest orders in the Seller Dashboard.

In the Webkul Magento2 Marketplace, the seller can upload a profile image, country, location, banner, can change the background, Shop title, Company description, shipping policy, return policy.

The seller can enter their payment information on the Seller Profile Form by entering either bank details or PayPal Details or entering any other payment details.

The seller can also edit the URL as per their requirement. They can edit the URL of the following pages- Profile page, Collection page, Location page, Review page.

The seller can enter their default Billing Address and Default Shipping Address under the “AddressBook” menu. The seller can add “ADDITIONAL ADDRESS ENTRIES” as well.

Jumia Marketplace has set commission per category and listed the charges ( in percent ) per category on their site so that sellers can see the charges before adding their products. Adding products on Jumia Marketplace and registration is free for all the sellers.

After the product is sold, then the seller has to pay the commission as per the charges set on the sold product’s category.

In Webkul Magento2 Marketplace, the admin can set Different seller commissions for every seller and can set a global commission percent for all the sellers.

By using the Magento2 Marketplace Advanced Commission add-on, the admin can set commission for products, categories, and seller’s categories.

In the Jumia Marketplace, the seller can upload up to 4 clear and good quality product images where one image is mandatory to upload.

The next section is Product Details. In the “Product Details”, the seller will enter a good Product Name, Product Description, select Main Category, and based on it, he can select from the child categories.

The seller will enter the Brand name, select the product condition from New, Used, and Refurbished. The seller will select attributes like Material, Color and enter Item weight (kg).

The last part is “Product Quantity & Price”, where the seller can set options. The seller will enter Quantity, Price with tax and they can set Promotional Price, Promotion start date & Promotion end date. In the end, the seller will enter the Listing duration (in days).

The next section of the Seller Product Adding is deciding the payment, shipment, and Return Policy of the added product.

The seller can enable Cash on Delivery, set the Location Information ( Where is the product located ), and set Shipping methods.

The seller can set the Return Policy of that particular product by selecting after how many days can the customer return the product and the action after the product is returned ( Product Exchange & Cash refund ).

After all the details are set, the seller can publish that product.

Webkul Magento2 Marketplace also provides a tailored solution for catalog management. You can add simple, configurable, virtual, and downloadable products.

Category Selection:

The seller can see various categories added by the admin and the seller can then select the category in which they want to add their product or services.

 

Naming Product:

The Seller will enter the name of the product, add a description, short description. There is the editor for adding the effect in the description of the product.

Seller will set Price:

The seller will enter the price of the product and for the simple product, the seller can enter the quantity. If the seller wants, they can enter a special discounted price along with the start and end date.

Stock Availability:

Seller will choose the Stock Availability, Visibility of the product in the marketplace, select the Tax class for that product, enter the weight of the product, URL key, meta title and then upload images for the product.

Custom Attributes and Custom Options: Now for the custom attribute and option, the seller can make use of two add-ons called Magento2 Marketplace Custom Attribute and Magento2 Marketplace Custom Option.

With these two add-ons, the seller can add options and attributes for their products to provide additional information regarding their products.

These two add-ons are very helpful and the seller’s best friend when it comes while adding additional information regarding the product.

In Webkul shipping can be managed by the admin as well as by the sellers. After the order is placed, then the seller can generate shipment from their end.

For the shipping rates, we have a fantastic addon, Marketplace Per Country Per Product Shipping for Magento2 where a seller can add shipping rates for different countries and can add different shipping rates for different products.

Big Marketplaces provide the return feature to its customer so that their customer can have a good quality of the product.

Return Functionality engages a lot of customers and develops trust and confidence in them. In short, return management encourages the customer to make a purchase and this feature remains the backbone of their trust.

Now, this feature is also provided by the Webkul through Marketplace RMA System for Magento2. This module allows the seller to manage the RMA from their end and the customer will have the benefit for RMA if their product is damaged or any other specific reason.

For setting the product condition, you can install Marketplace Seller Price Comparison for Magento2 where the seller can set the product condition as “Used” or “New”.

We can even modify this module to work as per the client’s requirement. Even in this add-on, the seller can assign the existing product ( added by another seller ) to oneself, and then on the product page, all the sellers would be listed who have assigned the same product.

On the product page, the customer can see the product image and you will hover on it then you see its zoomed image. The customer can see the product name, Quantity selection box with a message showing how many quantities is remaining in stock.

The customer can estimate the shipping cost by selecting the location and then based on the selected location, Shipping Service, Shipping Cost and Delivery days will appear.

In the “Seller Information” section, the user can see the Seller Shop name with a hyperlink. When clicked on the Seller Shop name link then it redirects to the Seller profile page which displays the products added by that seller.

There is a “See Shop” icon and on clicking that icon, it will redirect to the Seller Collection page. The customer can see the ratings, can contact the seller from the product page by entering the message.

The customer can even make the message private and send to the seller so that it would not be displayed to the public. The customer can follow that seller as well.

In the “Payment methods”, the user can see which payment method is allowed by the seller and can see the “Return Policy” set by the seller while adding the product.

The user can even see other product details like Brand, Condition, Weight and other custom attributes. The custom can “Ask Question” to the seller and can get the reply on the product page itself.

The user can even like the answers from the conversation. In the end, there is “Promoted Products” of that seller displaying Product name, image, price.

Webkul Product page:

Webkul Magento2 marketplace provides many inbuilt features for its customers. On the product page, the customer can view product images, link to the Seller’s shop.

When clicked on that link then the customer will be redirected to the seller’s profile. The customer can email that particular to their friend and the customer can make reviews for the product from the product page.

The customer can also see the rating of that seller on the product page. The customer can contact the seller from the product page by entering email id, name, subject, query, and security question.

Follow Seller functionality:

For the “Follow Seller”, you can install a Marketplace add-on called Marketplace Favorite Seller For Magento2, which will allow the customer to add the Magento Marketplace Favorite Sellers seller to their favorite shop.

Please check the below image. With this add-on, the customer can add the seller as to their favorite by visiting their Collection page as well.

 

Question & Answer Functionality-

For the “Ask Question” functionality, you can install Marketplace Question and Answer For Magento2, which will enable the customer to ask a question related to the product to the seller from the product page.

With the help of this add-on, the seller and admin can provide the answer to the questions asked by the customer. This add-on helps a lot in clearing the doubts regarding the product. The customer can like or dislike the answers also.

Daily Deal Feature –

With the help of this add-on called Marketplace Daily Deals For Magento2, the seller can use the daily deal feature for their marketplace seller’s product.

For setting the Deal, they can set the Deal Date From and Deal Date To and Deal Price. The daily deal product can be seen on the category page.

The customer can see all deal collections of the seller using the view deal collection block on the product page.

 

Webkul also offers Chat Module by which the customer can chat with the admin ( Store Owner ). By using Magento2 Marketplace Buyer Seller Chat, the customer can chat with the admin and clear their doubts regarding the products and buy the products.

In this module, the customer initiates the chat with the support agent assigned by the admin regarding their query. The customer can also provide feedback to the concerned support agent and also download the pdf of their conversation.
