Magento 2 Dropship – Inventory Data Feed

Magento 2 Dropship – Inventory Data Feed – Running a dropshipping business is super easy using Webkul Magento2 dropship extension – https://store.webkul.com/Magento2-Dropship.html, As discussed in the last post article about the Aliexpress and dropship integration (which is also a kind of data feed ), We will discuss more on data feeds in this blog post and why it is important.

What is this feed, Well it’s quite popular terms but it is possible for now technical person it looks a little non-familiar? Data Feeds or Feeds or kind of a format of data or you may say an array of data in a format. You may check the feed also in real life like

  • XLS files
  • XML files
  • JSON files
  • CSV files
  • API

As an example

As you can see above CSV files are also a feed.

The reason is very simple. In a dropshipping business, it is very much possible that you as a store owner are importing the products from different suppliers. This is also very much possible that those suppliers don’t have a standard format of an API or format like CSV/XML.  Take an example-

There are three suppliers S1, S2, & S3 and they are supplying the inventory feeds in a different format. So importing products from those suppliers will be super hard.

Only having feeds will not work as well in the dropship business. You need to have a mapper which can map the product attributes with the supplier’s products attributes.
