Mr. Mohammed Kettaneh, Project Manager at National Aviation Services enquired Webkul regarding building an e-commerce website where passengers traveling via international airports will be able to book two types of airport services – Meet & Assist service and Lounge service, which are referred to as ‘Airport Services’.
The scope of work consisted three main requirements, which were to be built on top of the existing Magneto 2 Enterprise Cloud Edition platform (now Magento Commerce Cloud) with the default Magneto Luma theme.
Airport services were to be booked in advance over the website. Usually, at least 24 hours should be allowed between the time the booking is placed (i.e. the time checkout action is committed by the customer on the website) and the time or arrive or departure from the selected airport(s). This time is called the ‘booking lead time’. The first requirement was to develop the booking lead time validation on the website.
The second requirement was about hiding the ‘Quantity’ wherever it was mentioned or displayed on the website. Since the determinant of the price on the website was the number of passengers (i.e. number of adults/children traveling and receiving the services) therefore the quantity attribute was not used and hence, it was hidden.
Third, our client wanted to have a ‘dropdown list with filter’ created to enable customers to search for and navigate to their desired airports.
After thoroughly understanding the requirements and customizations, we communicated to our development team and completed the project in no time.
