Colectalia is an exclusive shop which specializes in Spanish civil war local stamps, political labels, and postal history. Besides having a physical shop, they sell and auction their vintage stamps collection online.

Carles Prats is the chairman of Colectalia, he was looking for an online bidding system for his business. Using the PrestaShop platform, he made the Colectalia e-commerce site.  PrestaShop is a freemium, open-source e-commerce solution, but don’t offer auction-selling functionality out-of-the-box.

What is your company’s mission?

Colectalia is an online stamp store and auction house, specialising in Spanish civil war (1936-1939) local stamps and postal history.

What was your challenge?

We needed to improve the bidding system on our website, which runs with a thirty bees (a Prestashop 1.6 fork) install that was migrated from Prestashop 1.6.23.

How did you overcome your challenges?

Webkul’s auction extension for Prestashop 1.6 has been the module that has helped us in our goal. Now we have the exact bidding system we needed.

How was the result?

Webkul’s auction extension, despite being designed for Prestashop, also works on any thirty-bees install. The requested customizations of the module matched the exact requirements we needed to adapt this function to our customers and to our stamp business.
